Following their all-new aero road wheels debut, the new Reserve 25|GR gravel wheels offer a wider wheelset for drop bar riders who like to get rowdy.

The new rim shape is just 18mm deep, but 25mm wide internally, with a semi-hooked design that blends the easy installation of hookless with a bit of extra security.

Designed for “Grinduro-style riding and racing”, they’re suited for 700c tires from 28mm to 50mm wide.

The rims use an asymmetric design, flipped front front to rear, to provide more even spoke tension and better bracing angles and against the front brake rotor and rear cassette.

Inside, a tubeless bead bump gives the tires a distinct shelf to sit on, with a minimal bead hook on the rim wall. Externally, the rims are reinforced at the spoke nipple’s seat, and all of the wheels use external nipples and standard spokes for easy service.

Claimed rim weight is just 360g, and wheelset weight is 1,358g with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs, available with XD or HG11 freehub bodies. MSRP is $1,599, available now through dealers.

For “drop bar riders who like to get rowdy” surely there is already a bike for them, but I can’t remember the word… Mooouwntan byke?
