Fortnite Update 9.30 is officially live, with the addition of the Chug Splash for Battle Royale, Prop Hunt settings for Creative, and a swath of newly Vaulted weapons. While PvP doesn't get too much attention this week, there's still a lot to cover in the official patch notes below.

For Battle Royale, the major features of update 9.30 are the Chug Splash and newly Vaulted explosive weapons. Starting with the Chug Splash, this seems like it could be a fairly interesting addition to the game. On the surface it's a quick way to give health to members of a Duo or Squad, but it could be exceptionally nuanced if its radius effect winds up healing enemies too. That would mean players have to be extremely careful about not only how the Chug Splash is used, but also where it's used. With that caveat in mind we can't imagine this will be a very popular item. If it's the only thing you have, though, it could be a lifesaver.

In terms of sheer amount of content, Fortnite update 9.30 offers one of the biggest Creative overhauls in a long time. Prop Hunt has become one of the most beloved modes across the shooter genre, and now creators can make Islands to feature it. There are also advanced fog settings and more options for spawns, explosives and more. While most of these changes won't matter to the average Fortnite fan, creators will likely love what's included. The Battle Royale situation is a bit sparse this week, but update 9.30 still has lots of great stuff to try.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
