What better way is there than to spend December looking at brides and silently rating their outfit and styling as we freeze in our never-warm-enough shaadi outfits. Here are Instep’s favourite brides of the season.

Wedding season is certainly the subcontinent’s longest and most celebrated season. This year saw some of our favourite celebs tying the knot. While some went for a grand ceremony, others preferred to host an intimate affair. But one thing that these weddings brought with them was lots of sartorial inspiration and surely the brides looked stunning in the ensembles they chose for their big day. After all, it’s the most important day of their lives and looking less than perfect is not an option. Instep gives a you a lowdown on some of the stars that shone bright on their wedding day in the past few months…

Muskh Kaleem, who bagged the Best Female Model award at the Lux Style Awards this year, tied the knot with beau Nadir Zia recently. Mushk looked stunning throughout her wedding festivities - she donned a white Maria B outfit for her nikah, choosing a vibrant pink Ali Xeeshan lehenga choli for her mehendi. For her baraat she looked exquisite in a traditional red ensemble by ace couturier Sania Maskatiya, but it was her valima look that actually took our breath away. Mushk opted for a heavily embellished ivory outfit by Elan. Her subtle smokey eye makeup paired with a bright peach lip colour and her floral hairdo complemented her overall look and we are absolutely loving it.

Photographer and actress Zara Tareen also married Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir, who is known for his remarkable performances in Hollywood films and TV projects such as Star Trek, Scandal, Elysium and Iron Man among many others. The couple’s wedding festivities began with a simple mehendi ceremony, for which Zara wore a bright green and gold gharara. For her big day, Zara went with a classic deep red and gold lehenga choli by designer Ali Xeeshan, which she paired with traditional jewelry. She wore a jhoomar along with her teeka and exuded regal vibes.

Model Neha Rajpoot got married to Shahbaz Taseer in an intimate ceremony and looked gorgeous in a Hussain Rehar creation. The custom ice blue net peshwaz, embellished with silver and pink hand embroidery, was paired with crushed silk sharara and net dupatta with heavy borders. Neha kept her makeup fresh and subtle, except for the bold eye-liner that accentuated her beautiful big eyes. She accessorized her look with kundan jewelry and oversized maang teeka. She looked every bit of a modern bride and we are all for it.

Actress Mansha Pasha got married to lawyer and social activist Jibran Nasir this year in the presence of their immediate families. It was an intimate affair and Mansha Pasha exuded elegance on her nikah ceremony. She donned an all-white ensemble by Zuria Dor and accessorized her look by a diamond and pearl set by Sherezad Jewelry. Her make-up was kept soft and fresh with shimmery brown eye makeup, flushed pink cheeks and nude peach lips.

Actress Katrina Kaif got hitched to actor Vicky Kaushal quite recently. She went with a traditional bright red outfit for her wedding ceremony, a classic Sabyasachi with handwoven matka silk, fine tilla work and a meticulously embroidered zardozi border in velvet. The best part about her outfit was her veil, which paid homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots with a custom-trimmed kiran electroplated in gold. Katrina paired the dress with heritage jewelry - statement necklace, matching earrings and a double matha-patti - also by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
